Model demonstrating how different knowledge domains can be integrated for integrated learning. Life Sciences Education pedagogy in teacher education and
training, concept mapping enables trainees to identify and work out
cross-connections between concepts in various knowledge domains in the Field of
Science, and beyond. This approach facilitates creative thinking and production
of knowledge: students learn to discern and identify common or overlapping
concepts and transferable skills through integrating knowledge across and
within various knowledge divides in the various Fields of Science.
