The study explores the nature of parent's involvement in the education of their children in a primary school as well as what hinders them from being involved. Epstein and Salinas's (2004) classification of types of parental involvement is utilized. A qualitative research method using questionnaires and open-ended questions completed by participants was used to collect data. An Excel spreadsheet was used to analyze, interpret, and draw conclusions from the results.
