Ethics was granted under the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. The ethics permit reference number for this study is 216277566/06/2021.
First page “Marking bees” – The first page of the document details the bees marked, including date and time, gender and colour of marking in each of the sites. This was for the mark-release-recapture aspect of the study.
Second page “Marked bee obs”– This page consists of the date and time of re-observations of marked bees, including the gender, colour of marked bee and the site/GPS location of observation.
Third page “Radio-tagging” – This page details each bee that was tagged and tracked with a radio-transmitter. Each bee is separated, including the date and time of tagging and later capture, gender, site location, GPS points taken during tracking and the behaviour of the bee at each GPS point.
Fourth page “2022 Radio-tagging” – This page details the same as the previous, however for the 2022 flowering season (the previous page is for 2021).
Fifth page “Hand-pollinations” – This page indicates all hand-pollinations. This includes the site, location (wild / cultivated), species, and GPS location, as well as date bagged and date whereby hand-pollinations were performed. Additionally, the number of pods produced/possible no. of pods is indicated, as well as the no. of seeds produced/possible no. of seeds for each of the treatments.
Sixth page “2022 Hand-pollinations” - This page details the same as the previous, however for the 2022 flowering season (the previous page is for 2021).
Seventh page “Nectar vol and con” – This page indicates the results of measuring nectar and volume for each of the study species, with multiple replicates (flowers) per species in each site.
Eighth page “Pollinator observations” – This page consists of all of the pollinator observations in-field. These include the date, site, weather, location (wild / cultivated), time of observation, minutes of observation, species under observation, number of flowers observed, pollinators observed during period of observation and their behaviour during observation, as well as the no. of flowers visited by each of the pollinators.
