Development of a radiated emissions test setup for CubeSats
Ethical Clearance Reference: 2024FEBEFREC-STD-35
This dataset supports the research presented in the paper "Development of a radiated emissions test setup for CubeSats". It includes experimental measurements and simulation data used to validate a custom-built transverse electromagnetic (TEM) cell for radiated emissions (RE) testing. The following CSV files contain detailed electromagnetic field data, S-parameters, and comparative results from both controlled and varied test environments.
1. REAL_IMG.csv
This file contains measured S-parameters captured during physical testing with a comb generator. Data includes both real and imaginary components of the signal captured from the TEM cell inside and outside a reverberation chamber, allowing direct comparison of environmental effects on emissions.
2. TRACE.csv
Contains multi-trace S11 (return loss) measurements over a frequency sweep, gathered from four test configurations. These traces are used to evaluate the TEM cell's reflection behaviour and impedance matching.
3. COMB.csv
A comprehensive dataset comparing comb generator signal levels across multiple environments: stirred and unstirred within a reverberation chamber, and at four angular orientations (0°, 90°, 180°, 270°) inside the TEM cell. This data supports the analysis of the directional response.
4. E-FIELD FUNCTIONS.csv
This dataset is exported from a FEKO electromagnetic simulation. It provides spatially-resolved field data for the simulated TEM cell, including real and imaginary components of electric field vectors (Ex, Ey, Ez) at different X, Y, and Z coordinates across a frequency range. Magnitudes for the XZ, XY, and YZ planes are included to assess field uniformity and validate the physical cell’s design.
