This research does not have questionnaires and interview data. All the data generated were from the independent biochemical experiments. This was an in vitro study, where HepG2 cells were exposed to high glucose and resveratrol for 48 and 72 hours. The research outlined the potential therapeutic effects of resveratrol on varying molecular pathways i.e. Inflammation, Oxidative stress, Apoptosis, and glucose metabolism, contributing to the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). It also included epigenetic factors by quantification of microRNAs linked to T2DM pathogenesis in HepG2 cells exposed to high glucose and resveratrol.
