The specific methodology that has been employed in the present paper is that of the Guarded hot plate. The guarded hot plate method has been used for testing the thermal conductivity of insulation materials, liquids, ferrous and non-ferrous materials throughout the past century. Recently it has been adapted to measure the thermal conductivity of nanofluids. The data set presents the results collected from a GHP apparatus. The hot plate, cold plate, guard heater, voltage and current were measured via the Agilent 34970A.
